Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the nation’s first sorority established for African American women on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC over 100 years ago. Our unprecedented service provides programs globally, nationally and locally.

Chartered in 1922, Iota Omega has a rich heritage of excellence providing educational, cultural and health programs throughout the Tidewater area. This year we will continue our unwavering support of our international president as we enthusiastically embrace Launching New Dimensions of Service℠.

It is an honor and privilege that you have chosen to explore our website.  Iota Omega will have an active role in supporting impactful work within our community through the five targets of Launching New Dimensions of Service℠.

The five target areas are:

1. Educational Enrichment

2. Health Promotion

3. Family Strengthening

4. Environmental Ownership

5. Global Impact

Additionally, through our efforts with other organizations and businesses, we are excited to host various Community Services Days.  Iota Omega has committed and dedicated members who focus on service, love for our sisterhood and giving back to our community.

Over the next two years, 2015-2016, we look forward to exuding high energy, excitement and exhilaration as we eagerly embody the principles our sorority was founded on, “service to all mankind”.  For more information, contact me at president@norfolkpearls.com.
